Sean Mac Diarmada GFC were formed in 1961 when two ends of the Parishdecided to join together to form a Gaelic football club. It was agreed that the club would be namedafter Sean Mac Diarmada, one of the signatories of the 1916 proclamation. The club is based in a small village in North Monaghan called Threemilehouse. We are a football onlyclub and we have just won promotion to Senior status. We have a very good recordin all competitions but especially underage football. In 1988 the club won four trophies,one at under 12 level, one at under 15 and another at U-16 level. They also wonthe Northern Standard Cup (Primary Schools),
