The District of Columbia Bar, created by the D.C. Court of Appeals in 1972, is the official association of lawyers admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. With more than 80,000 members, the D.C. Bar today is the second largest unified bar association in the nation and is committed to providing service to the profession, the courts, and the community.
