Indiana Genealogical Society--The Indiana Genealogical Society (IGS) is the state genealogical society. Organized in 1989, the society is involved in several projects, including a partnership with FamilySearch to index all Indiana marriages up through 1957. Membership is open to all and runs the calendar year, and benefits of membership include access to searchable databases.
