Dave's Island Instruments is owned by Mr. David Beery. Dave has a Bachelor of Arts degree in percussion from California State University, Long Beach. He is also the owner of Smarty Pans, a steel drum manufacturing business which makes Caribbean style steel pans that were originally developed on the island of Trinidad. Dave is the primary tuner at Smarty Pans and has been successfully working in the steel drum business for nearly 20 years.
