Applied Speciation and Consulting, LLC was formed in 2004 by Russell Gerads and Dr. Hakan Gurleyuk as a Washington based limited liability company to meet the current and future scientific needs of the commercial, industrial, and academic world. Russ and Hakan identified that the primary custodians of analytical testing (commercial laboratories) focused on conformance to promulgated methods without the scientific understanding and knowledge necessary to ensure results were accurate and representative.
