The School of Information (SI) at the University of Michigan educates professionals to lead in the information age, offering the PhD and master's degree in information. SI investigates the fundamental roles of information in society and the ways in which people interact with it -- in creating, collecting, managing, accessing, presenting, and preserving it. SI's Master of Science in Information (MSI) degree offers specializations in archives and records management, community informatics, human-computer interaction, incentive-centered design, information analysis and retrieval, information policy, library and information services, preservation of information, and social computing.
