The Houston Orchid Society is a non-profit organization located on the Texas Gulf coast. The HOS is affiliated with the American Orchid Society, SWROGA, IPA, the Pleurothallid Alliance, and the Orchid Digest Corporation. The HOS sponsors the Houston Judging Center of the AOS.

The Coral Springs Orchid Society, a non-profit organization, is affiliated with the American Orchid Society. It was founded in 1973 by Elliott Mackle and a small group of orchid enthusiasts. The purpose was to meet and discuss orchids, how to buy, grow. and care for them, and to impart this knowledge on orchid lovers in the area, who would join the society or come to meetings. Membership is available to anyone who shows a sincere interest in orchids and who wants to actively participate in the activities of the Coral Springs Orchid Society.

The New Hampshire Orchid Society was organized in 1983 and currently has about 150 members. The NHOS meets on the second Saturday of each month. Meetings may include lectures, workshops, slides, videos and demonstrations about orchid culture, conservation and preservation.
