Normal Hair Growth

Normal hair growth is about a half inch a month. The cycle of life for a single hair is normally between two and six years. There are many reasons for hair loss, from genetic inheritance, to toxic substances, to illness. Alopecia (hair loss) that begins from ages twenty to forty is most commonly what we call 'male pattern baldness'.
