The Institute of Management Consultants USA is the professional association and certifying body for individual management consultants in the US. It's mission is to promote excellence and ethics in management consulting through certification, education and professional resources. IMC USA awards the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation to individuals as evidence of meeting global standards of consulting experience, client satisfaction, technical competence, demonstrated knowledge of consulting skills and behaviors, and high professional standards as evidenced through passing both oral and written ethics exams. IMC USA is a charter member of the 46-nation International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI)that sets professional standards for the 10,000 CMCs around the world.
